    LAN: What to Play

Hi, a friend and I tried LAN for the first time last night, mostly UT2004 and CS:Source. These were good because we could play on the same team, or at least against eachother with bots or on the net. Can anyone reccomend any co-op LAN games?

UT2004 is great with loads of people, we did it with 6 people in one room. Great for onslaughts

HL2DM is fun too, especially some of the custom maps.

NFSU2 is alright as well for a laught, customised Hummer racing FTW.

ut2004 is one of the best lan games!
shame not every one had cs:s at the time but is still a cool game.
and my new favorite C&C generals with Zero hour zero hour is pretty cool !

Serious Sam 2, in a lan of 10 or so people this is 'piss yourself' funny, big mass co op of wacky guns, big landscapes and frantic funny action,

old school 1942 or DC too for the larger lans they say raven shield is good too
    Under Development...

Battlefield 1942 or Vietnam are good bets to go on for LAN.

Last Man Standing for Doom 3 has a co-op option that is quite good.

    http://lms.d3files.com/

Farcry also has one but with a simple two man team it was very buggy for me, I'll not be bothering with that one for a while.

Grand Theft Auto had a co-op patch but with just you and a mate it's quite boring to play, at least it was a few months back when i last tried it.

The original Half Life has a co-op mod too.

The Diablo games are essentially coop when networked.

System Shock 2 has a coop patch too.

That should cover a few genres not covered above.

    Ahhhhh LAN games....

When I tend to partake in a few session over with the rest of the fellas from Gameon ( waves... hello Platinum ) the following games tend to get abused over the weekend

    FIFA ( i know, but 2 v 2 is fun )
    HLDM with various mods.
    HL2DM
CS Source ( plenty of source )
    Dawn Of War
    Area-51
    Battlefield 2
    Age of Empires
Unreal Tournament ( various 1's including the dark gothic release - best ever !!! )
Various driving games like NFS ( Plat's favourite when drunk.... )
