    All of those programs are available as freeware and would probably work better, although it wouldn't be a convenient single package. If you use a good defrag program, have a gig of RAM, speedfan and a system utility for system tweaks then your system will be running top-spec. I tend to use speedfan, system mechanic (not free) and diskeeper v9. Unless you've got less than 512mb of RAM, a RAM defragger won't do you much good. They're pretty useless for gaming though as when it's defragmenting, the system slows to a crawl!

    I seem to remember software like this for 56k modems to speed up connection, in fact all they did were tweek a couple of settings, but no real difference. Software is never gonna boost your machine by much . Keep your machine lean and mean by defragging, up to date drivers etc, and stopping unused services and startup progs and you have no need for this type of stuff.
