    Headset Advice

    Hey guys,

Spent the last 30 minutes searching the forums and couldn't really find what I was looking for.

I am after a new headset/headphones, I'd prefer one with a mic attached.

The problem is I am a picky bugger,

I want a very good quality pair, I have a pair of Koss R/80's which are awesome for playing CSS (only thing I play) but I have broken the bracket which attaches the can to the band so it is currently covered in gaffer tape.

Adjustability is important, however I hate the ones which automatically adjust when you put them.

Finally I need ones which have an oval shapped padding to them rather than round, simply because I prefer to have my ear inside the headphone padding.

I'm not interested in 5.1 headphones, and I do need something with good build quality.

    I have a limit of about £40.

    - Stew

Wow, not asking much are you? How do you liek sennheisers? They do a decent range of headphones with mics attached. Although youre really limiting yourself in terms of quality for that price.

No I'm not picky at all

I could possibly stretch to £60 or so.

used to own a pair of Sennheisers, really good quality pair of headphones, Im just skeptical as to how comfy they are to wear for a long time.

I know you said you were not inerested in 5.1, but these are within your price range and are oval ( well the look like they are from the picture )

My friend has the Medusa's and they are really uncomfortable.

I've tried other 5.1 headsets and none have been very good.

The only ones I think might be half decent are the Zalman's but I don't know of anyone who has tried them, theres a few reviews online but they all say different things. So actual in-game performance is hard to judge.

I've got the Sennheiser cans and they are superb - brilliant for night-long BF2 sessions. Excellent mic too. I've got the 155's.
