    FEAR resolutions

Ok then - Just got myself a new 7800GT and would like to try FEAR at my panels native 1280x1024 resolution. I see lots of people talking about playing FEAR at these higher resolutions but I'm not sure how to enable them? Is it a +szx +szy a la BF2 addition to the short cut? Anyone know?

You got the latest patch? I could have swore that FEAR supported my native resolution of 1680x1050 out of the box, meh I could be wrong...

you need to edit the config file manually, as is the annoying trend in many latest games (serious sam 2 and fear being the 2 latest off the top of my head)

You need to start a game first to create a config file (setup all your options except for the resolution and then start a new game, then quit)

Then there should be a config file in c:\Document and settings\all users\shared documents\monolith productions\fear...somewhere around there anyhow

Look through it and it should be fairly obvious where to add the resolution

A good DVI TFT at native resolution dances on the grave of CRTs though. Once youve got used to TFTs CRTs seem so blurry in comparison.

Yup, shoddy programming and testing of code is a good reason to put up with a CRT over a TFT - not

As long as they write the code correctly, there should be no issues with resolutions not showing up. The recent BF2 patch is testamony to that
