FEAR Installer crashes

Anyone have the problem (or prefeably a solution) to the FEAR installer crashing at the end of the first progress bar?

Goes to 100% then crashes, if I click details it takes me to a MS Installer error page.....

The odd thing is I could never uninstall the demo and had to remove it from the registry and hard drive manually, now wondering if something I left behind is causing the issue....

Anyone have the SP demo and the full game installed together?

Over 300GB free on my system drive and I completly cleared my %temp% folder after the first couple of failed install attempts.

Annoyingly I cannot find anyone else having install issues, nor can you goggle much when the games name is a regular word grr.

i'm fairly sure this is a known problem...saw it on the website when looking for the patch
