Unhappy Biggest gaming disapointments, (Rose tinted glasses)

What games did you think to yourselves, i have not played that for ages let's load it up and have a go.

And then realise the game is not quite as good as you remembered?

    My Votes would be for.

    Thief
Graphics look awful now, used to get immersed in the atmosphere and hide in the dark corners, now i run about hitting people with the sword.

    Myth 1 & 2
Used to play them for hours sending my dwarfs out with there molitov cocktails in hand blowing stuff up and the graphics were stunning

Now it seems too hard to control and the graphics whats happened there all blurry.

Now what games do you wish you'd left in the past and never resurrected??

Used to play it on my voodoo 1 and 4meg Diamond PCI cards and it used to be the best game since.. ever. However now i tryed to play it and it doesnt save in XP, doesnt play right cause you dont use the mouse at all and the graphics are... well, voodoo 1/PSX age: 640x480x16bit software mode is the max itll do.

    Getaway. Please, getaway.

Lotus Racing. Originally bought it for £39.99. It went back within the day. Bought it a few months later for £9.99. More of a result.

    hehe. as directhex said.

QW is still awesome, mad speed, and with FuhQuake it looks respectable as well. even now i can't think of many better multiplayer games.

Zelda : Ocarina of Time, i'm never going to say it isn't one of the greatest games ever made, but playing it next to the Wind Waker i was shocked at how poor the graphics looked, not as i remembered when i first played it, but then the graphics are just a means to an end and the story remains a classic.

Wings on the Amiga. I used to play that games for hours and hours, over and over again. I bought an Amiga about 2 years ago just to play the game again and I was shocked to thing I has wasted all my time playing it. It killed all the quality memories I had of the game.

I see it's out on GBA next month, dunno what it is gonna be like on that, but I might just have to invest £18 into to find out, can't be any worse than the Amiga version.

Dont buy it again trashman, just get an emulator for the amiga and find wings somewhere on the internet

That reminds me when i went back and had a go at supercars i found that that was a major disapointment to no adrenaline rush anymore

And also Stunt car racer, but i wouldnt mind buying a PC 3d accelerated new version

Stunt car racer is as good as it ever was!
    Ok, maybe not quite

Wings was a 2 disk game? I can never get 2 diskers running on my Amiga emulator properly
Need an expert guide on them I think.

I use WINUAE and run the first disk as normal and when it asks for disk 2 i press F12 on the keyboard and change the floppy to Disk 2 then press o.k. and it goes back into the game then loads the second disk.
