do you rate each player you play with after each game so you will get a bad raiting if you mod on someone??

Yes, you do rate other players.

Last I heard MS were still working on just how this was going to work to prevent users spamming a gamer with bad references.

The idea is that you rate another player so as to make it easier for everyone to find a good game of whatever it is they're playing... Alos, with the rewards system, it helps to filter gamers into hardcore, casual etc gamer types, so you get a more even skill match, should you want it.

Interesting idea, but I would've thought other player's opiniopns of me would vary wildly, ie. a top class player may not see me as much of a challenge and rate me 2 out of 10, whereas a complete gaming newbie might view me as a gaming god (Ha! Yeah, right!) and rate me as a 9.
