    bf2 Voip

I cant et it working for the life of me. The microphone test in the options does nothing unless im screaming down the mic when i hit the button, and then it transmits absolutely everything. Think its because i didnt run the little wizard effort when i first installed. Anyone know how to start it without reinstalling?

Actually I'd like to know too. Bought a Sennheiser headset (150) from Scan and cant get the thing to work on BF2.

Is the best method a reinstall to get the wizard to kick in?

I'll add to the chorus...tried to get this working last night, but to no avail.

To add to the complexity I was running TeamSpeak at the same time, but I'm using an Audigy 2 ZS card (might not be relevant). In DOD:Source I could use TeamSpeak and in game VOIP....

One other thing I've noticed is that when using TeamSpeak, when I or a friend (also on TS) connect to a server in BF2, the voice receive volume in TS drops dramatically. If you check the volume setting in TS nothing has changed. BF2 does something with the sounds...

Not all servers have VOIP enabled which is a start. It also doesn't work in the little test thing in game. You need to test it by connecting to a server

Oh, and make sure it's ticked on in the Audio options

You mean, you have to join a game, then escape out to the options and test it?

No, you have to join a server and actually use it

The on board test utility has never ever worked for me. Just set the options up, get into a server and talk to someone. Ask for a radio check with a squadmate. If they reply, you're working

Make sure your mic boost is enabled, and that the threshold insn't too high.

Go to the Battlefield 2 install folder and open it up then inside is a file named................... "BF2Voicesetup"

Thats the utility it gives you when installing BF2. Hope it helps.
