    BF2 lag

Me and a friend of mine have both started playing BF2 recently. We both found the experience very enjoyable having no problems. Things have recently changed (the last week or so) we are both getting big lag spikes at the same time (we arent on LAN) making us think its a server side problem, problem is its happening on every server we join.

Are any of you experiencing the same problems, and if so have you managed to resolve it ?

You said that your not on a LAN but are you sharing a connection??

Me and my house m8 would get spikes with BF2, we were sharing a connection (512) and using Team Speak 2 was what caused the spikes. Now we're on 2 meg so no more troubles

Doesn't matter, you still need to forward the ports.

i get things like that too. and it just jumps a lot and i get rubber banding effect when i run. very annoying.

i tihnk it may have something to do with teamspeak. i dont usually use it, but never remember problems in other games

Seems strange that 2 people who had no problems at first who are in different locations and on different isp's would have to suddenly forward ports at the same time.

I am getting weird lag at the beginning of a game...... the whole screen will just stutter for 1 to 2 seconds and then it will continue normally.
