    Pro Evo Soccer 5

    Hey,

What do you guys think of Pro Evo 5 on the PC?

I was playing it online for the first time last night and it is 10000000* better than 4 for online play. Lag is gone if you select someone with a green arrow and the new multiplayer options rock!

Really enjoying playing this and looking forward already to PES6

Not buying it: gonna wait for the PS3 or XBox 360 and get the next one then

I played a lot of the PC PES4 online. I purchased the PS2 version and know what you are referring to as the same system is used.

Much better imo - doesnt always work 100% but is a great indicator of the kind of game to expect

I really thought the demo was crap, after finding PES4 a little shocking as well I decided to get Fifa06, I played the demo of that to death. It seems to be programmed much better than PES imo. The player movement is far less clumsy I find and you can play more flowing football, that’s my experience anyway.

Indeed you can - one of my first games online I scored a 35 yard screamer from Veron that looped over the keeper into the top corner. Never scored anything like that in PES4 and the guy I was playing against was practically bowing at my feet

Scoring from just outside the centre circle is easy in PE4 especially with the better players. I’ve scored dozens to be honest. You never get bored of seeing them shots drifting pass a struggling keeper and into the net. Haven't come close to doing this with fifa06 yet, I guess it’s only a mater of time before i find the sweet spots on the pitch

    cheeky unreal eh....

yo this game is IMO the best game out at the moment. if your into footy games than BUY this. dont fall for the fancy advertisement crap by FIFA, cuz believe u me FIFA is crap. check all the reviews from various sources and they will telll u pro evo rules!!!

the online play is almost lag free it dont matter if the otehr person is lagging cuz u and your opponent take turns in hosting each half its all good. i know places where you can download patches and get the real kits for every single team in the game!!!

pm if any1 is interested, piece

    That'll be www.pesfan.com then l(

I didn't really get on with FIFA 06 at all PES is liqiuid smooth though, and doesn't descend into scire of 6-0 or whatever, but plays like, well, proper football.

    Agreed.

Hey jonny mate, any chance of you using proper English instead of that stupid shorthand? You're not sending text messages now, pal.
