I wouldn't go that far for graphics... but it does look like a stunning little game for the PSP.

Theres always free roam, it would be suicide otherwise! Well even during missions I expect you can just wander off...

Its absolutely amazing, i sat there jaw to the floor for at least an hour before it sunk in how massively good this game is. The loads times are perfectly acceptable for a GTA game and I would agree that some of the game does actually look nicer than the PS2 GTA3. Great music too.

This is a deffinate must have for any PSP owners and would rank somewhere around the 91% mark, drops some points because its a bit of re-hashed GTA3, but gains MANY MANY points because it is all new story and missions, music and most importantly WIRELESS MULTIPLAYER!!!!!! *im in awe*

This game obviously pushes the (currently underclocked) PSP to its limits and I've noticed a bit of ghosting and a few sound issues, but overall this is by far the best PSP game I've played.

It really captures the PS2 version perfectly and it's a worthy addition to the series.

i think its an effect in the game - if you look in the other GTA games especially San Andreas you get a very slight bit of ghosting, i think its just there to smooth things out abit when played on a big screen but obviously not needed on such a small screen.

Havent had a chance to see this game in action on a PSP yet but will make sure i do

Yeah on Vice City you could turn the option on so it blured and looked more like the 80s.

i know the effect your talking about mainly made the brake lights streak out when turning but in liberty city stories its when on foot not when driving and its a ghosting effect like on crappy tfts . Only wondered if anyone else was experiencing it ? Love the game though great lunchtime fodder with the streamlined missions

I am only seeing ghosting in some of the cutscenes, not much during the game, although it doesnt really bother me.

As for the missions they have been deliberately made a bit shorter so that they are playable on the move, making it more viable as a "pick up, put down" game.

How does the multiplayer work then? Is it just free roam deathmatch or something? First time I've heard it mentioned that it comes with it, but makes me wish I had a PSP even more

I've been tempted for a PSP too. Awesome gadget. GTA3 on a portable console - how great is that? That'll be handy for long trips as GTA keeps u occiupied for hours. Yeah how does the MP work? and what is ghosting?
