Yeah defo not at the moment, but they could release one later like they did with Half Life 2? Bit of a dumb strategy but who knows. (Well it might not be dumb, but I'm not a marketing guy so I don't know the advantages and disadvantages of it)

Well i suppose it would make people that want the game, or are slightly unsure to just go out and buy it, it can do this as its a very high profile game.

Then, if they release a demo later then, if the game is good, it would convince peopel remaining questioning people to buy it.

Basically releasing a a demo later could cause better profits faster, which is better a s it makes people think that it must be good so even more people buy it etc, it all works out nicely in theory

I'm gonna sit this one out until a Demo surfaces, never played Quake before (please don't hurt me), so I have no idea whether i'd like it without a demo :/

Yeah I guess sometimes people can be massively dissapointed by demos, and put off the game. So they wait for the proper gaming audience to buy out of interest and pure impulse and once that period has gone, they get the remaining by releasing a demo! It's like a method to taking over the world

A demo has slipped onto the internet, yes...

Seems like it's not "the" demo which id intended to release, though... And they should be releasing the proper one (with MP) in the next few days.
