Not played BF1, but after Ep III arrived, I had a sudden thirst for Star Wars gaming... I polished off X Wing alliance yesterday, but I wanted more, so I have this on order now =D

Should get it sometime this week ^_^

ooh cool, let us know how it is.
p.s. xwing series - probably the best space sim's out there. not just for being star wars (well that helps) but because its loads easier to play than some of the more complicated ones and you always know where you are with it...

    I got it today \0/

First impressions : It's OK. Can't compare it BF1, as i've not played it...

Jedi bits are good, and whilst the space sim bits are fine, X wing etc. pisses all over them. As expected tbh.

Enjoying it though. At the end of the day, it's star wars =D

    woohoo!
been playing jedi academy - bro gave it to me after he finished with it, awesome fun! double edged saber quality action! graphics look a little dated now but I guess that helps keep things fast and furious, atmosphere over looks and all that. now, if it were UT 2k4 type gaming then it would seriously cain arse...I wonder, are there any SW mods out there?

Lots, but all are fairly mediocre IMO (Star Wars mods)

I liked Jedi Knight II, and liked the start of Jedi Academy, but i've since misplaced the CD's for both >:| (got the cases, just no CD's!)

I've not played it for a bit, i'm either rubbish at it or i'm missing something ~ because i'm finding it very hard, to the extent it's more of a chore than good fun :/

I'll probably have another bash at it this weekend, i'm fighting with an ever crashing Morrowind at the moment

    yup, pretty cool game.
anyone know how to turn off the in-game interupts when a new objective occurs? gets a little annoying when it suddenly stops play to tell me a new thing to go after...

I really like this game, and it's one of the few fairly new games that plays very nicely on my system in full, proper widescreen.
Great flying in Tie fighters too

I found it boring, tedius and a cheap rehash of the first one. Each to their own I guess...
