I played the demo a few hours ago, pretty damn sweet I have to say. Visuals look nice, including the shadows you get, the style of the levels (such as colour and level design) and one aspect that you might notice is the HDR. Well in the options they call it 'Over light' or something like that.

I have this weird error though. The game runs at 40-60fps nicely for me, but I get this weird slow down thing once every while. So I'm racing at 60fps and then for no reason it grinds to 1 fps for about 10 seconds and carries on, and does it again a few seconds later. It's like an application is running in the background, but I know there isn't one since I have been playing all sorts of games today, and I know better!

Also, no suprise, but theres a lack of widescreen on it (they only have like 3 resolutions to choose from :I ) and the shadows look nice when you are going fast, but if you notice them they do actually look quite horrible, reguardless of highest shadow detail. It's like a lousy attempt at BF2 shadows. You get to choose from the new Mustang and a Porsche to use, both stock versions and tuned up versions (with NOS, which has the same effect as the Burnout games have I guess).

The HDR is a pretty nice effect though, you go into the tunnel, the light adjusts, and come to the end of the tunnel and its just bright white - and you exit the tunnel and all goes back to normal again

    flying car

The graphics are pretty nice Seem to get about 5 different cars to drive.. 2 to choose from in the quick race, and then 3 different ones for each of the challenges...

The 3rd challenge seems the most fun, lots of evading the cops tried to take some screenshots but dunno if there's a built-in button or not?

Downloading at 57kbs, I hate this silly 512... I hope this isnt going to be as diapointing as NFSU2.. Will just have to see. I;m sure it will look good, if the first two NFSU games have done anything, its look good.

Well, Iv'e had a good play and completed all trhe challenges and played a few races My first impressions are amazing! I have NFSU 2 and have not yet completed it. I do not think I will complete it because im gonna buy this!!!!!!!!! The sense of speed is amazing, similart to burnout. I actually think EA took alot of ideas from burnout. The way the N2O works now, and the police chases now are amazing, so fun! In UG2 I got a bit bored and when I was racing and lost I would get so angry. Now when im losing in a race, i'm still finding it fun, just because of the driving! The car pyshics are a lot more arcadey now, which is a good thing for a game like this, and there are now other types of car!!! The cars in the demo are a stock mustang, a customized one, a stock porsche carrea, a customized one, a lexus ls300(?), a new 2005 volkswagon gold and a dodge viper, the challenges are very fun and this game isn't too hard on the graphics card. I'm using a X800GTO and am running it full high settings quite smoothly! I am definatewly buying this game because of the demo and think it will be amazing!

Again, same as Need for Speed Underground - an obvious console port. EA have yet to master the mouse which exists nicely on PCs and has done for a long time now to provide decent menu navigation, it's much faster to just use arrow keys.

Oh, yes I have a modest system, but it runs like crap as well but that's not a complaint about the game. One for the Xbox 360 I think.
