Hello fellow hexites,

Once the initial stage of primary data collection is complete i will be conducting observation tests, held at a local LAN cafe, invites will be sent to all that have participated in my survey, (there will be limited capacity however, first to confirm basis only I’m afraid).

Once both stages of primary data collection are complete and i have had time to evaluate the results i will compile the results onto a dedicated site, with further preliminary findings, the link to the site will be posted on hexus, and i will keep fellow hexites informed of any progress made as and when via this post.

The final results will be compiled and will help to produce a set of guidelines or 'recommended criteria' online games should follow, the results will hopefully indicate what aspects are most important to online gaming with regards to what makes 'a good online game'. As i have mentioned before this study is not limited to MMORPG's, i'm trying to look at a much wider field of online multiplayer gaming.

The full details of this study will be better explained on the website i will be developing, keep checking back here for the URL, and please keep the results coming in. I have had a fantastic response so far from hexus readers, a big thank you to everybody that has participated.

Hello Davey.

That’s OK. I realise that not all participants will be able to answer the rank related questions completely accurately, and if you were completing the paper counterpart of this survey and listed them all as 1 (2,3,4,5 for that matter) then i can understand. Unfortunately the best way to obtain data for this question was by means of 'rank'. I will make note of your particular survey and edit as appropriate.

PS. It's usually quite obvious from the results when a participant has been forced into answering a particular question this way. The results are usually in perfect descending or ascending order, this of course will be noted when analysing the results.
