XBOX replacement dvd drive?what drive?

i'd be interested to know how you plan to power one of these drives - xbox dvd drives do not use standard molex connectors, they have their own proprietary connector

there are various guides on splitting and converting to molex... and besides lol hdd uses molex so i could use a cable splitter and plug it in.ANYHOW. the point is i want to know which drives are compatable....

I know some xboxes use PHILIPS or THOMSON drives - don't have the model numbers to hand though.

The Samsung drive (SDG-605) is better at reading CD-R/DVD-R media though, apparently.
