Gameplay=Useless

I Pre-Ordered my 360 on august 20th from gameplay was told then that I will get on release date, then in september there was a note on the website saying anyone who ordered after the 24th wont get on release date, so I then call them and check that I will still be getting mine again they assure me that I will recieve mine on release date.
Then November I phone up to order some games to play on release day only to be told that I am now not getting console on release day. Dont you think it would have been nice to let me know this rather than waiting for me to call by chance. However they told me they will tell me on release day exactly when I will get my console.
Fast forward to release day no console no games and when I call them they say "You might get it by christmas".
Well thank you very much gameplay you have just lost any future business from me

On the one hand I see you point, but this is really Microsoft's cockup, not the retailers, who never even got told how many they would be getting until they pretty much arrived.

Yeah Gameplay did probably did all they could do, but with the such small amount of 360's issued over the whole of the UK, you were one out of many many to have this to happen to them. So its Microsoft to blame really, by not having enough 360s to distribute over their 'worldwide simultaneous release' and too much of an ambitious release date to make the Christmas season.

Been buying stuff alot of stuff from Gameplay. From my experience, they are pretty good. Ordered anything, arrives next morning. I'm sure they did all they can on securing ur Xbox360.. Its probably something like Microsoft promising gamplay 200 units like 4 months ago.. but calls up a month before and telling them that unfortunately they're not issuing more than 100 units to each retailer.

For me their delivery service is also fast within 2/3 days and I like their method of payment, ask for a 'store card' and instead of using a credit card to make purchases you can use this and then pay it off in cash at the post office...

I've also u sed them plenty of times in the past - incidentally I ordered a 360 from them which now shows a despatch date pf 9/12.

Having said that, I also ordered some agmes from them which were originally touted for despatch 'between 30/11 and 2/2'; that order has been despatched today.

mine still isn't showing a despatch date in the future I will order from dixons or somewhere seeing as they seem to have been able to supply there customers

Dixons were poor with communication I phoned and emailed lots to check if it was coming and noone could tell me at all

So I guess I was fortunate that even only ordering on 25th Oct, it arrived today.

25th OCT!!!!! man that makes me sick two months after me dixons must have bought up half of the uk supply

it could be worse dude the hmv in reading got 16 in and had over 100 on pre order they expect to have cleared them all by easter. and pcworld got about 1200 for all customers and where getting another lot of stock before christmas

ordered mine from gamplay 22 Aug, maybe 16 Dec they're now saying.
Ordered from dixons about a month later, arrived yesterday :-)
Thank god i put in a backup order, just wondering how many back-up orders we'll all put in for ps3!

Did you get the Premium package? I'm assuming from the word of things that those were ultra rare - well not that rare but just quite hard to get hold of

hey rup when did gameplay give you an approximate date? they have refused to even give me an idea of when I might get mine
