Its not the games content that makes me 'violent' its the frustration of not being able to complete it/do certain things

They can make me more violent... Failing to get a gold on Burnout 3 no matter how many times I try and then scraming and wanting to smash the game.

Short burst and towards the thing that causes... not generaly and doesnt make me want to go kill 17 peoples with plastic bags

"Experiment 1 showed that playing a violent video game, regardless of whether the game rewards or punishes violence, increases aggressive affect relative to playing a nonviolent video game"

So does going out and on the road and driving make you more aggressive relevant to being a passenger?, or staying at home?. Of course it does, what the hell does this prove!.

I can safely say that sports games make people violent.. Whenever i have mates round playing a game of Pro evo, whoever loses usualy gets violent by verbal abuse and sometimes throwing the control pad on the floor! sometimes me and my mates agrue and fall out because of this!

tantrums eh? i know the feeling, lol i find it funny watching people get annoyed at games. its not funny when i loose though

lol looking at this post, everyone has said they get angry at games, but none of the games listed (bar BF2 i spose) are focused on violence and none of us (AFAIK) have killed anyone...

i don't know, what will they think of next?

    Click, ok?
Losing at anything makes people irate; violence in videogames is more of a stress reliever than an aggravator.

Just ignore any American studies on this matter. They continue to make outrageous comments like this and ignore the fact that the number of youth violent crimes has decreased every year for the last 8 years (in the United States--I can't make any statements for other countries).

    It's rubbish IMO.

People don't become violent by playing games, how would this happen? you do not copy everything you see, and you know what is right and what is wrong

Video games do not influence my violence.

I do feel angry when I cannot get pass a certain level or race, when I have to restart restart restart though.

    Huge. Salt. Pinch.

They're Americans too. Mind you, I'd feel angry too if the best game I had to inflict on people was Carmageddon 2.

Most Wanted is really annoying when the cops block you in, and theres a gap but you can't push them at all..!!

Video games dont make me violent, and anyone who says otherwise is gonna get it good!

In all seriousness though, how can they keep coming up with stuff like this when people all over the world play violent games with no adverse effects? I mean, the Hexus CS team are normal..ish... well, alright bad example. BUt was there a massive increase in violence after the release of vice city/quake 4/insert evil game from hell of the month here. I dare say the statistics can show there was, but then again, they could probably show theres an increase in violence when its cloudy. And dont even get me started on psychologists.
