Personally I don't see what the problem is, if yours overheats, microsoft will replace it.
If you look at the specs and the small size of the box, of course it's going to generate a lot of heat, especially if you put it in the back of your cupboard and the power supply on a thick carpet. I don't see how else they could have designed it without using some really expensive heat dispersing method. I also wouldn't be surprised if this guy turns out to be employed by sony.
