Have you tried patching it up to the latest build ?

Other than that I would try looking at a few of the settings for OpenGL on the graphics card driver properties or check the drivers age etc. Dont use the DNA or the Omega drivers, stick with the official Catalyst.

Finally, when you updated the drivers last did you use driver cleaner to clear the system of the old drivers completely ? Also make sure the motherboard drivers are up to date.

It's not the system, it does the same every time, i only formtted a week ago.

I don't wanna use the sound setting, it seems to be crashing the system, but i have no way off getting in there an turning it off. A re-install of the game does not help, and the game is patched.

    Thanks for reply.

So you are wanting to disbale the sound on it, not quite clear on what you mean by sound setting ? (mind you it is late ! Try and be a bit more in depth in what you mean by this, if I need to will re install it in the morning to try and troubleshoot it for you.

I'm pretty sure there is a way to get the game to run in safe mode via a console command or switch on the .exe file so you can get in and change what you need to. Or possibly modifying one of the .inf files in the install folder as a few games you can change settings in that way.

Found this to disable the sound on it but it rquires you being able to start the game :

In another thread on Gamefaqs someone was having probs with their Radeon and updating drivers sorted it out, so make sure you have the latest set.

Found this optimization guide may give you a few hints on what to look for :

Dont format your system again it wont be that if all your other games are working fine. If you have latest soundcard drivers, VGA drivers and motherboard drivers the problem will lie elsewhere. On some occasions Direct X doesnt install properly for example.
