I've heard to get the access code you have to subscribe to the mag.

Anyone heard if this is true?

Link please as i don't believe you. I can't see a magazine giving demo disc's that require you to subscribe to the mag just to play, seeing as the disc's are going out with all copies of the mag. Plus i can't find anything on the official forums or on the FFXI site.

I've just spoken with Ben OXM-360 and they've told me the following ionformation.

The magazine is delayed. It will not be out tommorow. Problems with getting the discs ready on time. It will 'probably' be Monday at the earliest

You will need:

Xbox 360 Hard drive
Xbox Live Gold membership
Subscription (for the servers) Codes (come with the magazine)
Internet Access to register your passwords online to connect to servers at
http://www.playonline.com/

You will not have to pay for anything until the Beta test has finished.

All passwords will be included with the magazine. Square Enix sent me two codes today to access the beta test. PlayOnline password and FFXI password??!!Why I need those in advance when they are in the mag I don't know.

From what i understand you don't "Need" the keyboard (as you could use the onscreen one) but it would help. Not sure if you can use voice comms either.

I had a quick look at the OXM forum, some people are saying that FFXI needs 5G of HDD space

Well considering that the xbox hard drive only has 13 Gig available after all the MS utils etc if this does use 5 Gig then theres only 7 left to play with.......

FF7 is the Best one out of the lot. They even made a movie of it which is soooooooooooooo COOOOL

i have to agree about the movie it rocks my best watch of 2005 ^ ^ LOVED IT

a adore the game, looooooove them all so much ^ ^ i spent more time on ff7 then i have on WoW... and thats sayin sumin

I now have a copy sitting by my desk Got it from Tesco which means most places should now have it.

It's out today! Just picked up a copy at WHSmiths.

Be aware,it has so far taken 45 minutes to download and there is no sign of speeding up
