I think because Steve is posting game related posts in the news section, as Nick usually does, to prevent duplicate posts being made he just moves them to the general gaming forum too so that they stand out more *unintentionally probably*, and most importantly making it all time saving and effort saving by making them appear in both forums.
Well, we were getting sooo many PMs, emails and posts in the threads saying that we were dual posting, we decided to give this a try.
The idea of it is to show you we've got a new story for you but keep all the discussion to one thread.
When we tried posting solely in the HEXUS.game-news forum and nowhere else, we found that loads of you missed the threads entirely, sometimes posting about stuff we'd covered a wek or so before... so to keep you all up to date, we started posting in HEXUS.gaming as well as HEXUS.game-news...
And, here's the really good bit....
All the posts in HEXUS.game-news appear on the front page of HEXUS.gaming... so if you've got something news worthy and you put a thread in here about it, we might even shift it over to game-news, so your thread appears on the front page... cool, huh?![]()
Yea thats cool, i diddnt even know their was a game news section heheh, it all sounds cool though, keep it up guys, this is a cool forum
Is there much point in having the gaming news forum then if you're just going to post everything into general gaming anyway? I know you're not actually posting it into general, but you might as well be - the result is the same. Surley if people wanted to see the gaming news, they'd go to the correct forum to find it?
Great work guys
Now you just need to start doing video reviews like Gamespot and you'l be unstopable![]()
Yes, it serves two purposes, first, it's a place to discuss the news and second, the threads created in there populate a section on the front page of gaming... We obviously need to control what goes in there as this appears on the front page, so that's why members can't start threads in there.Originally Posted by ajbrun
You'd think people would look in there, but they don't... as I said further up this thread...

Cant you just stick a "link to gaming news" sticky to the top?
Would make sense

I was thinking of that... or perhaps a daily post containing links to the past day's news posts?Originally Posted by nvening
