    Counter Strike:Source Problem

As the title says, im having a problem with CS:S.

When in the video options, there is a box that says something like Hardware DirectX 7, and softeare DirectX 9..

Now, tell me if im wrong, but a 6600GT is DriectX 9... I have the 78.01 WHQL drivers and DirectX 9.0c..

Anyone got a way of forcing it to DirectX 9? As i really want Shadows and HDR

If it's only CS:S, I'd suggest it's something to do with your launch options. In the steam menu, right-click on the CS:S icon and bring up the properties. Then bring up the launch options. Basically, you probably have -dxlevel 70 in there - if not then try putting -dxlevel 90 in which should force it to dx 9 mode.
