Album: The Understanding, Royksopp
Movie: Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. (not the BEST film, but it meant more to me than anything i've seen this year)
Game: World Of Warcraft.
Album: Maximo Park - A certain trigger
Movie: Sideways
Game: World of Warcraft.
Album: Gorillaz - Demon Days
Movie: Sin City
Game: Guild Wars
Album :- Maroon 5 : Songs About Jane
Movie :- Ong Bak or Unleashed (aka Danny the Dog)
Game :- Guild Wars, F.E.A.R or Fahrenheit
With the movies I cant quite decide, both Ong Bak and Unleashed were awesome at the cinema. Shelley doesn't usually like the subtitled films at all but thought Ong Bak was great. Unleashed shows how much of a talented versatile actor Jet Li is and a very promising future career. Hopefully he will be able to sidestep (no pun intended !!! ) the typecast that actors that start out as a martial arts actors into more serious roles.
For the games, I played Guild Wars to death and still pop on now even though I have completed it in full including Sorrows Furnace, granted its now only occasionally but I am still really interested in it and am eagerly awaiting for chapter 2. Also have to give respect to NC Soft for introducing a huge online game that has no monthly subscription charges.
Second choice with F.E.A.R is that its a Monolith title and I love that companys games (NOLF, Blood 2, AvP 1 & 2, go on call me a Monolith fanboy if you feel you must !!! ) It also ups the standards which are are now seeing in PC games with visual excellence and pushing hardware to get the best possible result. Monolith have always done this with their titles I personally feel so a big thumbs up go to them from me![]()
Finally Fahrenheit I agree with Steve completely, why ? Its a bit of an unsung hero in this years games, once again pushing the genre out a bit to try and make it a bit more of an interactive experience and it works a treat. Granted it can be very linear and maybe a little short but is so well scripted with a really good story you feel captured by it and drawn in every time you play right through to completion. Ending on the game has left it open perfectly for a follow on but at the same time closes up that chapter of the story very well so it feels complete as the credits start to roll. Certainly hope that Quantic Dream follow this one up![]()

Album: The Campfire Headphase by Boards of Canada
Movie: Serenity
Game: The Warriors
I'm probably alone in thinking that The Warriors was the best game of the year, but I loved the movie.![]()
Wasn't Ong Bak and the Maroon 5 album 2004? I remember listening to that album in Phillipines on my last summer trip, and watching Ong Bak in the Cinemas (fantastic film, too much of a cool act trying to go on though. Very funny at times too lol). Songs About Jane could even be 2003, but CBA to look it up...Originally Posted by Ferral
I forgot about Unleashed. But it's only a movie I think I could watch once really.
Reason I chose those is because its what I have bought this year, Ong Bak hit our cinema around August this year and I bought it a few weeks ago as it got its official UK Region 2 DVD release. Same goes for the Maroon 5 album, bought it earlier this year at the same time as The Killers : Hot Fuss
Album: The Cribs - The New Fellas
Movie: History of Violence
Game: Gun
Album - I really cant decide at all. I'm 90% an electro head, but loved Employmet (might be something to do with the fact i went to university with the boys from the Kaiser Chiefs). But so many good albums, such as the ones already mentioned. Apart from the awful 'Fix You', X&Y is not bad, but im not a major Coldplay fan. Most of the stuff i like best most people wont have heard of tho sorry (although i am supprised to see another Boards Of Canady fan, great album).
Movie - Hard one again, i did not think anything really stood out this year. Hotel Rwanda was very good. But also Layer Cake, Collateral and the Butterfly effect (was the 2005?). Have not seen History of Violence yet, that suppost the be very good.
Game - F.E.A.R.

Film- Revenge Of The Sith
Game- KOTOR 2, or DOW: Winter Assault
Album: Mmmm - not much of an album man tbh.... If I had to choose - Green Day (Dont even know if it was this year!!)
Movie: Lord of War
Game: Flaming Cliffs (LOMAC)
'Speak softly and carry a big stick'
Green Day was last year, if it had been this year it would have been my album of the year also.
Anyway, Maroon 5... I didnt know Ferral was a girl.
Album: Pain - Dancing with the Dead
Movie: Sin City
Game: F.E.A.R. (would have been World of Warcraft but that was 2004 for me)
