    EA Shares Fall

Shares in EA have dropped by 4%. They also reckon that the net revenue and earnings per share for the year will be down as well.

Perhaps if they got stopped producing under par games they might make a profit.

Analysts reckon that consumers are delaying game purchases in anticipation of next spring's release of Sony Corp.'s PlayStation 3.

Quite right. Well said indeed, and also while they are at it stop charging for "addons" which are just basically an update with a few maps and extra weapons.

I 100% agree too. I am not going to comment on things like the games are rushed out too quickly etc, because I don't know what makes the games so poor compared to other developers, but EA games are now famous all over the internet for being really crappy devs.

As if saving for the PS3 really has much of an impact, I mean, *oh I'm not going to buy any more games for the next 6 months/year because I'm saving for a PS3*. Most people aren't that close to the pennies. Sure, they might buy the less odd game here or there, rather than not buying any, but ultimately I think its a little far fetched to assume people are already preparing for the Sony pricetag.

I read somewhere that EA have blamed the poor availability of the XBOX 360 as the result of bad sales.

EA need to stop making pathetic excuses and acknowledge the fact we're sick to death of the same game being re-hashed every year.

I must admit that EA's annual updates of madden etc etc dont bother me in the slightest as ive never been a fan of the sports genre in games, but i am guilty of buying the need for speed undergrounds and most wanted each year theyve been released.
