    Stuck With PDZ? Controls help

I've traded in PDZ but I hated the controls. I tweaked them to suit my gameplay but still found them a bit awkward. You can't change the zoom senstitivity for instance.

One of our clan members spotted a guide on how to amend your controls to mimic Halo 2. A number of our clan have followed these instructions and say that it makes a difference, whilst others can't tell. Obviously this is all relative, but if you are getting annoyed with the controls it might be worth looking at.

Some people reckon since they have changed it they seem to get more headshot kills.

    Profile Options > Controls

    Basics:

    * Control Style: Standard

    * Auto Aim Style: On or Off, doesn't make much of a difference, in this game if the small crosshair is over an opponent, the shot is going to hit.

    * Sensitivity: 75-100 seem to be the best.

    * Invert Y: Up to you.

    The most important part:

    * X/Y Sensitivity: Off - Most console FPS have Y Slower than X as default, but in PDZ they decided to make it so the X and Y axis are the same speed, it may sound silly, but this makes a HUGE difference when changed.

    * Y Sensitivity: 45-60 - The Higher your X is, adjust it appropriatly with the Y. This is where you'll be getting more headshots.

    * Fast Look: OFF - Fast Look is a stupid feature. Basically when you push your analog stick all the way in ANY direction, it will spin you around in less than a second, making precise aiming almost impossible.

    Optional:

    Options > Game Setup

    * Camera Bob: Off, Camera Bob is annoying to me, but it won't really affect your aiming too much.

pah... FPS on a JOYPAD is just not cricket really.

Give me a mouse & keyboard combination anyday.

Nice guide though - Carl would like that as he's rubbish at any FPS

Cricket....... Look if you want to play games with balls thats up to you

Hmm I would normally agree with FPS and control pads, however the FPS I have played on the 360 (C.O.D 2 & PDZ) have both been ok after getting use to the sensitivity of the left analogue stick.

Have to admit Lee, I do enjoy playing on a keyboard for most FPS. Especially Quake and Half Life!

Halo 2 with the new 360 controller just doesn't feel right.

FPS are better with Keyboard/Mouse, shame that the 360 doesnt recognise my usb keyboard and mouse

However some games are better using joypads. Lets face it all FPS should be better on a PC (bar halo as it was a crap port) however the majority of games that aint FPS eg driving games, fightin games etc will be better with a joypad.
