    What wheel for PC?

I really want a wheel for the PC. Ideally i would get a Momo but i have given up trying to track down one, they are as rare as hens teeth.

So Momo aside, what else should i buy?

    How rare are Hen's teeth?

I would have thought they are quite common, especially on farms

About a month ago, I got a steering wheel from scan... Logitech Formula Force GP.

It's bloody great, and only costs £35. It really is a great wheel, just like the arcades. Most of the reviews looked quite old which turned me off, but I spoke to Howard and he managed to persuade me - it works great with modern games!.

Logitech Driving Force Pro. 900 degree force feeback steering wheel designed for Gran Turismo 4, plugs into the Playstation 2 through USB so can be used on the PC after installing the drivers from here.

The driving force pro is a great wheel (I have one, my only complaint would be the force feedback is a little lumpy, but it's no worse than any other wheel i've used), but depending on your budget you can spend awful lot more if you want something more solid... http://www.thomas-superwheel.com/prods.html or http://ecci6000.com/6000_wheel_01.htm (don't click those links if you're feeling in an expensive mood, btw).

Something to consider when getting the wheel - can the pedals be used in an independent mode or are they on the same axis.

Basically what this means is that if the pedals are on the same axis if you will press both at the same time they will cancel each other out and all you have is zero throttle. So you can't have brakes and throttle on at the same time (was a bitch in Richard Burns's rally, as there is a bit in tutorial when you are required to leftfoot brake while pressing the throttle too, i had to map an extra button for brakes). If they are independent you can have brakes and throttle on at the same time. I am not sure if many wheels mention that, but i am sure some support it and some don't.
Tough on mirrors, tough on the causes of mirrors.

Definately worth the money. Best wheel I've ever used (and I've been using steering wheels since the Colecovision).

Chicks are born with one tooth, called an egg tooth, which falls off a few days after hatching. This egg tooth helps the chick break free from its protective home.

    There!

CustomPC reviewed a steering wheel last month that they said was as good as the momo, I will dig it out when I get home.

Edit: the thrustmaster gt force feedback!

Is a MOMO really that much better than a Formula Force? I'm not sure i can justify the extra cost.

    EDIT: Ebuyer - 'Stock Overdue'
