My god, the CoD2 developers aren't really giving much care to the online aspect of this game across the two platforms; PC and 360 are they? I think thats really poor of them, especially since they are lucky enough to have one of the top 10 online games still alive as Call of Duty 1, *according to xfire usage*.

it's crazy that there isn'y one game so far that has clan support.

COD2 should be a clan game and it owuld be huge if they had got it right.

I think online fans will turn their backs on the next COD game unless something is done

Seen many of these come and go before, with very few of them having an affect on the current situation of the suject.

It's worth a shot I guess, but to be noticed you're going to need literally thousands of votes, if not more.

Good luck though, it's got my signature too as I have played COD2 before i resorted back to CS:S.

Looking at that list I can only realy see a few 'genuine' issues that they *need* to fix, the rest are just feature requets..

    - High Latency causing unplayable games or frequent disconnects
    - Currently no proper game lobby
    - Currently no Hosting or game creation modes

They all make sense - and a really basic requirements of a multiplayer game.

    - Currently no Clan options

What do you mean clan options? Why do you need special options to be able to play as a clan? Almost no PC games have 'clan options' so to speak, and yet almost every online game has a clan league somewhere..surely you are able to sort it outside-of-games, and you can set you own name right? so clan tags are possible..

    - Currently no Ranking modes, or any way of checking your current ranking

That's a pure feature request, I would love stats in loads of online games, official CSS stats for example, but it's not part of the game, it's not designed for it. The PC Platform offers the ability if the developers want to add it in - as does the 360 platform. Doesn't mean they have to.

    - More player slots for multiplayer games, most of these maps will easily accomodate 24+ players

Maybe there are good reasons for this limit. Either the 360's hardware cannot cope with more than 24 players (easily possible) or they tested it and decided it was far too laggy with that many people (worse than the current problems)

They are not likely to listen to an online poll anyway, it has been tried many times (eg when deux ex 2 was released for the PC, there were plenty of petitions to get it fixed, but nothing came of it..)

no lobby system to set up a match.

You can't guarantee to get the players from each side in the same server.

Lobby system on the Xbox is necessary on every game yet some games miss it out totally.

The Halo 2 interface is where every xbox developer should be looking. You can challenge another clan easily without having to arrange it offline.

It's so different to PC online gaming

If there were a lobby system though, with rooms (irc style) - which I agree there should be in every online game - and you have your friends list, you can cope easily. That's how we did it for years on the PC, all through IRC before websites like clanbase appeared.
