    XBOX 360 or PC

    Hey I have question!

Should i get a XBOX 360 for gaming or a PC

The setup on the pc would be:

    Amd Athlon64 4000+
    Asus A8N32 SLI DELUXE
2x Nvidia Geforce GT SLI or ATI RADEON X1800XT
    2 GB of ram

depends on what you want to play, PC's are great for FPS and look lush etc, but i like having my consoles as they are deciated game machines, no chance of messing them up etc.
With out knowing what you want to play and the types of games hard to say.

Sounds a nice PC rig though

Pc at least on a pc when you stop playing games you can do some work i find a play games on a pc 30% of the time and the other 70% i mess around you cant do that on a boring console.

I think you've answered your own question there.

You want a PC - you want a multifunctional games machine.

Graphics shouldn't rate above playability imo, but if that's what you want...

If you get a PC, in 2-3 years time when a friend sees how well your upgraded PC works, they'll think their xbox360 is out dated from the graphics. PCs can be upgraded - consoles can't.

I don't think you should put graphical ability that far at the top of your list really - I think most of us would rather play a game with an awesome plotline/characters etc and naff graphics than the other way round. A game's not worth playing if it doesn't entertain/involve you.

I have to agree, even though obviously the graphics do come into it, after the first couple minutes of going .."WOW look at that grass!!".. Then from then on it's the games storyline/entertainment which keeps you playing.. Rather than the lovely anti-aliased guns and people.

Again as everyone said above PC's can be upgraded where as you'd have to buy the next console out there for improved graphics in the future. Also you have to remember, theres more to gaming than graphics, its the quality and gameplay that makes a game for me

Xbox 360 is great but I'm sure you'd get as much fun out of your PC.

Personally I'd go for 360 every time but that's only because I don't want to sit upstairs in my PC room playing games, I'd rather sit in front of the fire on my main TV in the living room.

    Wink

Hey I also think gameplay and other stuff is more important than anything else but you got to admit that game that has awsome graphics gives you a kind of joy or proudness.

On the other hand i think the Pc is the best option since the computer that i have now is really damged and i cant even do works on it and my games like NFSMW and Far Cry run like crap. It`s not only because of that i ound out to have a good image quality you got to buy a HDTV TV wich i dont have and there aren`t that many XBOX360 games in the moment.

So thanks for the help and your opinions!!

No money is not an isssue.

I was struggling with this decision ... upgrade my gfx card in my PC, or buy a 360.

One dead GPU later and the decision has been made for me

Have to save up and get a 360 later in the year ... maybe they might actually have some stock then - and you never know, the prices might have dropped as well!!

After seeing that boxing game this morning and soiling my pants due to the sheer niceness of the game, the fluid motion and brillant controls I'm awaiting this to be released and then purchasing an Xbox360 in the next month or so.

I would buy it earlier but my beer bills for gaming LANS is enough to warrant waiting

Oh btw - switch fella - nice to see ya on the hexus forums... now where's that piccy of the holy body item

If you can afford the PC then definitely go for the PC.

Well worth it in the end.
