    What's your favourite gaming soundtrack?

GDC 2006 has announced that there will be performances of some great video game music from the Symphony Silicon Valley orchestra and its full chorus.

Music will be played from the following games, Mario, Zelda, Halo, Metal Gear Solid, Warcraft, Myst, Castlevania, Medal of Honor, Sonic, Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, along with a retro "Classic Arcade Medley" featuring over 20 games.

I love the music in Final Fantasy and the Halo music is great.

What's your favourite in-game music? or do you just listen to your own tunes?

Final Fantasy music has always been good, the two Black Mages albums are great as well

The GTA games always have decent music, and I agree with MoH, not my personal style of music, but very fitting. Same with the first MGS game, the music on that rocked, still one of the best games ever tbh.

bf vietnam and the gta 3/vice city/san andreas music was great - but that wasn't game music really.

actual game music ? mech warrior 2 monkey island series! warcraft 2 ! nintendo always had sweet tracks too.

other music.. ridgeracer had good stuff

    thief - dark beat

    any wipeout music I like

oh and can anyone remmember the cannonfodder theme ? war! never been so much fun! go to your brother! kill him with your gun! leave him laying in his uniform dying in the sun! (repeat)

other music - the main theme from 'full throttle' by the gone jackals. really nice.

    ok, enough of that
SmoothNuts!~yaman_an@*.dsl.pipex.com > change my rating to exceptional tbh

Burnout: Revenge - although that's not an original soundtrack - just a collection of cool rock choones

If it has to be an "original" soundtrack - I would say Halo would get my vote

Halo and Final Fantasy 7 have great soundtracks. Also, the Metal Gear theme is pretty good too.

Final Fantasy immediately comes first, VIII in particular - Also Halo and Metal Gear Solid had good music I think.

In fact I like Final Fantasy 8 music so much I sampled it and one point and made a song out of it http://www.soundclick.com/bands/song...songID=2794095
