    Half Life2 selling question

    ok firstly excuse my ignorance but..

    I want to sell my copy of Half Life 2 (dvd) what registration codes/steam etc do I need to sell with it to allow someone else to buy and use it.

    You could change you details in you own STEAM accound to their ones and give them the steam login and password.

    This is the reason i refuse to buy Valve games. I think it completely stamps on consumer rights and has nothing to do with piracy. When i tried to sell mine i was told i had to post $10 and my orginal CD key to America so they could reset it. What a flipping scam, up yours valve!

    You can unregister the CD key. Then it is valid for 90 days - then expires.

    Don't we have any rights as consumers? That's it I'm never buying another Valve game. And HL2 was over-rated, IMHO

    It always cost $10, i tried to sell my copy the week it came out.

    No it didn't. At one point (early on), I was looking to see how I could change my username (as it is currently an old email address), and the only current way at the time was to unregister the cd key, then reregister it using a new account. - Which was free, but not anymore.

    I can't remember when I found this out, not long after it came out though.. came out on the 15th November '04, so probably mid December.
