Just in case no one has seen this yet. No more buying older firmware based PSP's or downgrading the firmware

This is a great breakthrough by Fanjita and Ditlew. 1.5 still has the advantage of having kernel access though.

    ah this is good news

ive been using homebrew with 2.0 for quite some time though using the ebooter loader exploit in the photos folder but this buys more time until new games require higher firmware

nothing will ever beat the ease of 1.5 homebrew though

Might even upgrade my 2.0 to 2.6 now that I can run all my emulators on it. Version 3.0 is due out in the next few weeks tho. Has mail, calendar and alarm functions in it as well as more tweaks. Then it's back to the drawing board for the Fanijita boys

Yea 2.0 and 2.01+ share the same eboot loader now! But you can downgrade 2.0 to 1.5 firmware, so you can run iso loaders + a lot more homebrew, so i wouldnt upgrade if i was you!

Unlucky for me i got 2.01 firmware as i would love try out psix and psp-oss.
