    Skool Daze ZX spectrum

Remember this game? I absolutely loved it, one of the best things was changing the names of all the characters so you could have all your school friends playing the part. What a game!

An interview has appeared online with the creator and makes for an interesting read

    My first ever Computer game

What a great game! A challenge and when you got to the final mission you had to destroy nutron bombs (which was tricky!) then camicazy into the end of the cavern! classic.
Things where genrally much more simpler for me back in those days, all I had to worry about was sweets, Lego and when the next episode of Dogtanian was on !

One of the better games of it's kind.. and certainly the first I saw with a level designer (That crashed if you went too far to the right hand side... )

Very nice firework display as well

And where has all the gameplay gone that would make you accept 2-6 minutes loading from tape to get precious few minutes playing a game that you had to start from scratch every time?

Hear hear... with Lords Of Midnight you had to reload every time you got defeated (too often!) due to it filling every single 49512 bytes of available memory ... but it was still worth waiting 5 mins for

Don't forget all the times the load failed I think I only got RoboCop to load once, and oh that was a great day

Loading failing was so frustrating. I think it was football manager that would take about 20 minutes and then crash at the last second.

Did anyone play Advanced Soccer Simulator on the Spectrum? I blame that for all the subsequent hours I've wasted playing football management games since 1989

This is the first game I play on the speccy glupman

If I remember rightly you code 'POKE' a value and the game would run very quick ... too quick

(Just been looking at the site and the prices - I sure I have a box in the loft that worth a few thousand )

EDIT: you can play it here [URL="http://www.ciunga.it/jxspeccy/gulpman.html"]here/URL]
