    GRAW - Last STRAW?

This is my opinion only but I think that if Ubisoft make a balls up of GRAW (360) like the they did with Cockdown and Recon 2 then they can kiss goodbye to any future releases of those titles, all be it rainbow six is about to end, they've relied on the games fan base too much of late. Not producing games we've come to expect from those titles. Sure Ghost Recon 1 and Rainbow Six 3 weren't great game in the techincal side but I spent many happy days/nights playing both. I spent very little time playing cockdown or recon 2, they just didn't have the same appeal.

anyway I'm rambling on for no good reason.

I must admit i loved Recon 2, i thought the game was great especially when compared to the original Recon.

As for Rainbow Six, i never particually liked any of the Rainbow titles, although Lockdown was unbelievably bad, i didn't even give it a chance because of the many glitches.

I've got totally opposite feelings there Drizz. I loved GR1, GR2 was good too and i feel that GR:SS was the best of them all, So i like them all. However i didn't like any of the Rainbow six games on xbox- Only one i've ever liked is the first one on PS1.

I quite liked some of the things in lockdown but when they brought out that patch it kinda ruined it and i havnt played it since. GR2 was a good game and i preffered it to the other ghost recons such as island thunder. Lots of mixed opinions

I'm on the same path as drizz, GR1 was awesome, along with RB6, I hardly came off those games.

The 1 bad thing about RB6 was the lean glitching and that was it, everything else was perfect, but then RB6 Black arrow came out, was great as they sorted the leaning prob out, but something was lacking in it, it didnt make me wanna waste my life away on like the first version, i think they needed to livin it up a bit, but still a great game. Then come along the long-awaited RB6 lockdown......why..why why??? what did they do, they messed that right up, i'm not even gonna start to explain what went wrong cos i'll be here all day!! they just completly changed an awesome game engine for something that seemed half-arsed and definatly not the tactical game it once was, as far as i'm concerned RB6 series is dead unless they take a step back and just make them better than Black arrow was, but obviously up to date i.e graphically etc

As for the recon games, recon 1 was awesome, followed by Island thunder which was also fantastic, its making me cry happy tears just thinking about the great times we had on that, then came recon 2 with its amazing graphics and updated engine, I thought the game was great graphically, tactically, even the sound was amazing but i feel the maps released on it was where we was let down, strictly landscape maps, no urban ones like the previous titles, still a great game but it didnt capture me, same as summit strike but this has loads of extra options now and i've actually given up on the latest 360 titles and have gone back to this.....now thats rambling on..................

I've given up on Rainbow 6. I loved the first two games and Lockdown just spoiled it for me.

Ghost Recon 2 wasn't a patch on on the previous two games either.

I'll still get both new games in the hope that they're as good as the old ones.

I've got all the Rainbow Six games bar Lockdown.

I felt Lockdown played too much like Ghost Recon, I didn't like the Hidden & Dangerous-esque several missions within a mission idea.

I also felt it was WAY too linear and is clearly down to being co-developed with the Xbox version.

I can confirm I won't be getting it until it drops to like £9.99 which shouldn't be long I hope.

As for Ghost Recon, I've only played the first one and the add on Island Thunder and Ive always thought they were brilliant.

I see it like this though:
    Rainbow Six = SWAT
    Ghost Recon = The SAS

GRAW looks good, i think it will deliver quite well.

On a side note, why the unecessary use of the word "cock". Makes you look like an immature little brat.

well otherwise the point he's making may not come across as strongly if he didnt repeat it, cos lockdown is a load of cock, so therefore is cockdown, and cock aint good!! and i feel your unnesserary use of 'immature little brat' is a bit condesending and probaly more disrespectful to others than he's comment made.

Hope Graw is as good if not a lot better than SS,also 360 desperatley needs aRainbow Game,as long as it is along the lines of BA,cos at the moment imo the 360 is starting to feel stale,if it wasnt for the xbox live arcade and our clan matches,i wouldnt even bother.

GRAW PC is supposedly more like the orginal GR games, console versions are supposed to be more arcadey. I've seen videos of 360 footage though, and it looks promising.
