The reason these LAN's are so good is because no matter who, what, or where your from - these folks all treat everyone the same and the LAN's are very laid back yet the admin staff are some of the g33kiest folks we know and they ensure everything is running superb for everyone.
The feel of the GO LAN's is superb as well. Can't be bothered to play for a while?, well have a walkabout and someone is always there for a bit of a chinwag, a social drink or two and something to eat or even a bit of drunken dancemat action (dependant on persons bringing a console)
If you run into technical troubles - Help is always at hand. Even some of us scan boys help if we can and in the past we've borrowed memory to people that have had memory faults, helped with cooling issues and a few more things I cannot recall.
Entertainment is plenty at these LAN's. There's always something going on away from the computers, such as a few folks having a few drinks, watching DVD's , various TV shows or even freeview if they've remembered to bring the remote
