Well, it took me a long time to get Q4, but its sensible money now, and frankly it amazes me
Things I need to have in a First Person Shooter are
a: sensible easy to change menu/options
b: good atmosphere
c: good controls
ANd witrhout a shadow of a doubt, Q4 is doing this all for me, by the bucket load.
I'm not a fan of dark and dingey games (Doom 3) or of attempts to amaze me with AI (Halo...or is thar: err Hello) but this is really suprising me.
It's not a s scary as FEAR (which is truly nappy filling) but it is scary enough to make me jump. And best of all...the SUrround Sound works superbly.
My M-Audio Revolution sound card is doing stirling work and it isn't fully supporting of this game. But positional awareness is nothing sohrt of amazing.
Grpahics are gob smacking, and I'd like to point out (as I always do) it scales very very well to lower spec PC's.
My Athlon 2800 at 12.5X180 (1 gig) on nForce2 with X800 Pro AGP is doing brilliant work at 1024x768 at a constant 45fps with everything to high, (not max)
If you dont have this game, and you've not played a First Person for a while, I promise this is worth puting the time and money aside for.
