Hey guys,
Am thinking of getting a Logitech MX1000, and would like a mousemat that will do it justice. Any recommendations?

I've heard that IceMats are top notch. Never used one though.

I've got an Icemat 2, with an MX510. I like it a lot, I wouldn't swear that it's increased my speed and accuracy in games or anything but as mousemats go it's a stylish thing to have on your desk![]()
I use just any old mouse mat. doesnt make much difference has my mouse has optical laser or whatever you call them..
ahh dont you just love thsoe mouse balls LOL
Icemat v2 + MX1000 - works flawlessly![]()
Im just using a "normal" mouse mat. Although its is a really good one.
- I was given as a chrismas present from my nan, of all people, it has 3 pictures of worcester on in (where she lives) but its been really good, very nice finish. (i loked it up, its from buildblocks, linky)
However, its now that old that the glue bonding the top layer to the foam is going manky and pealy and making a mess of the papery picture bit
- So im looking for a new mat, But i dont like the Icemat, my mat has one, and i think it has a cold, unforgiving, feel to it.
- So at the moment im using a "Brite Mat" which i got free of a a random company. Its a bit hard and scrachy, but i might get used to it yet

I had an Icemat, but I actually prefer my "RatPadz" pad. Can't remember where I got it from, it was several years ago.
My System: Coolermaster Centurion 5 (black) case, Intel E6750 Core2Duo, Tagan Easy-Con 530W, Asus P5B Deluxe WIFI, OCZ 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 CL 4-4-4-15 PLATINUM XTC, Samsung SpinPoint 200Gb SATA2 / 2 x Maxtor DiamondMax 10 200Gb SATA, 256Mb Sapphire ATI PCI-E X1950PRO, Creative X-Fi Xtreme 7.1, 19" Daewoo W9ZQ Black Widescreen TFT, 4Mb Virgin Cable Broadband (formerly Blueyonder) with Linksys WRT54GL Wireless-G and DD-WRT firmware.
i got a func 1030 from somewhere they are top notch i thnik, although they are like 25 from most places the alienware one that is exactly the same can be had for ten.
I've a few mousemats but what I use the most is my desk surface which is really a hacked to bits piece of kitchen MDF worktop.
Mr Pledge ensures that the mouse glides perfectly as does cleaning the bottom of the mouse and the pads and getting rid of the build-up they accumilate.
dkt megamat is the only way to go...

I dont use a mousemat, just prefer having a large amount of desk to use.
Wow fathazza, that mat is huge lol
fathazza, i got the same mate with a mx700. What are the razors like on that mat? Im thinking of buying a G5, but tempted with the razors too
Rig: Amd 64 3700+ San Diego | Abit AT8 | 4x512 Corsair XMS3200C2PRO | PowerColour X850XTPE / Arctic Cooled | Samsung Spinpoint 250Gig | Enermax NoiseTake 485w | Arctic Freezer 64 Pro | Coolermaster Wavemaster Silver | Dell 2405FPW | Logitech G5 / Everglide Destrukt Monstermat |
I used to have a Mousemat for mine (Microsoft Standard Wireless optical mouse) but I found the smoothness of the Mat, coupled with the slight angle my Keyboard tray is at meant my mouse went running off down it, so I stick to the wood, it stays still![]()
