Just had my first play on PGR3.

    ...And damn it's good

Just wanted to ask a few questions on here that I can't seem to find an answer to in the manual. First off, is there anyway to get rid of the music menu thingy that pops up at the start of each race, and sometimes during a race?

Also, at what point will I need to buy another car? I started with the Noble M400, so far that's lasted to rank 8. I have 1.4 mil CR and I am still doing all the events on hard and some even on hardcore. If buy a better car, will the oppositions cars change to the same class as well?

Very pleased with it so far Only played for just over 2 hours at the moment. Playing on a normal TV, and the gfx seem awesome on that, waiting for my VGA cable to arrive

Last question Is the only online racing the online career? There is no joining a room and picking what you race like in PGR2?

Any tips on what class E car to get for giving the online career ago?

    cheers.

Not that I can see no. Make it slightly less annoying by putting some of your own choons on there. At least you wont have to listen to the 'funky' PGR3 songs.

Also, at what point will I need to buy another car? I started with the Noble M400, so far that's lasted to rank 8. I have 1.4 mil CR and I am still doing all the events on hard and some even on hardcore. If buy a better car, will the oppositions cars change to the same class as well?
Well, for some of the events, such as Time Vs Kudos, Drift and deffo the Cone events you'll probably want a class A car with a bit of slide on it. Something you can throw around corners. The RUF Supercar Concept is needed for the Cone events, makes them a lot eaiser than normal. However, you need 750,000 kudos to unlock that, so its a long time before you can buy a top level motor like that.

Stick with it as long as its doing the job, but I would suggest getting an F355 and the F50GT as soon as you can. The F355 because its what you will use online for class E races, drives great and it will just come in handy to know how to drive it. The F50GT because if you can drive that, you can drive anything, and its in a class of its own in terms of raw speed and power. Get those 2, win a few medals with them.

And yes, if you change class the opposition cars change class. Jump in an F50GT, the AI jumps in Mclaren F1s and the like. Just to keep it interesting.

And obviously, the time needed for the medals changes as well, not per car, but per class. So a Hot Lap Platinum time will be much less in a class A car than a class E.

Last question Is the only online racing the online career? There is no joining a room and picking what you race like in PGR2?
You pick Online Career for ranked races and Playtime then Play On Xbox Live for unranked races.

Any tips on what class E car to get for giving the online career ago?
Ferrari F355. 90% of people who races class E online use this, and for good reason. Handles like a dream, and it can move with the best of them. Not the fastest car in its class off the line, but it soon makes up for it by the time you get to the first corner. This is why I said get one as soon as you can and win some medals with it in single player. Will help a bucket load for the dog-eat-dog world of online class E racing to come.

I have 96% of the game complete, 50 odd wins online and 980,000 career kudos, so although I'm by no means an expert, I've played enough of the game to know whats what.

Probably see you online sometime mate, either for a race or a Smash TV co-op . Slow down and get on the inside for the first corner carnage if you want to survive online.

Ah. PC gaming. Aint done that for a while. Not since the X800XT Platinum as the top card out, and I could play Doom III on the top settings smooth as you like.

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion is out soon for the 360. Can't wait.

With Street Fighter II, Oblivion, Fight Night Round 3 and Ghost Recon all coming out soon, my 360 is going to take a hammering over the next month or so.

Only use the PC for mmorpg's and FPS games, everything else I play on consoles. Looking forward to NHL 2006, love hockey games, shame most ppl don't play them over here and you have to either get up real early, or stay up late to get a game on LIVE.

I was playing Smash TV yesterday on co-op with some American kid, got to Scarface and after he got killed a few times in about 30 seconds, the little nob quit.

    Typical.

Still haven't got the Co-Op achievement.
