    Oblivion previews

Didn't see anyone posting these, so thought some peeps might be interested. Bethedsa let the press play around with a pretty near final build last week so there's quite a bit of info out there for those who are looking forward to this game (like me ):

Read through the IGN and Gamespot previews. Its looking good. The collectors edition will be on my doorstep on the day or release.

Can't wait. The 360 is crying out for a game with a bit of depth, and this fits the bill perfectly.

You should definitely check out http://xboxmovies.teamxbox.com/xbox-...enery-Footage/ if you haven't seen it yet - beautiful. Personally I will be picking up the PC version as (1) it's cheaper (2) the mods and (3) I don't have an xbox

    Only 3 weeks to go!

Not having an Xbox 360 is a good reason for not getting the Xbox 360 version, yes.

200 hours to do the game and all the side quests I read... bring it on.

Hooray! Horses! One of the few bad points about Morrowind was the amount of time you could spend just travelling across plain, boring land. You could meet some interesting people on the way, but a quicker way would have been nice. That way, you still get the rich and varied countryside, but don't waste as much time.

Edit: Oooer, 175 items? I quite liked the weight idea compared to the slot idea.

Edit 2: Oh dear, I'm not sure my PC will hold up too well with Oblivion! Heigh ho...

For both the 360 and the PC? For that matter which version were you playing?

Unfortunately wasn't allowed to take screenshots or enter the gates of Oblivion. It was so tempting just to nudge my head through the fiery gate.

    I played the PC version.

Is it just me or could those official screenies have used a little more aa?

    Great sneaky peek though, thanks

    Interesting vid card

I think he probably means a 1900xt, which is what other previewers have reported.

Did you get a chance to tweak gfx settings? Where they cranked up full? Also how did it play, smooth enough at those settings with a X1800XL or XT?
