Hi guys.
Well I've decided I'm going to play and complete Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 for the release of the 4th for PC.
But I keep getting told that it is only compatible with Windows 95, and if I right click > properties and go into compatibility mode - It doesn't seem to work still... it brings an invisible error message up, and if you kill it via taskmanager, the install screen works for about 6 seconds before quitting.
Any ideas? - Thanks!

The website's slower than a slug in glue here so I cannot see the games list to see if all the resident evil series are supported.

Already looked before I posted, couldn't see anything!
Ahha, got it! - You have to alt+tab to the invisible error message, then press enter... then the setup screen loads up anyway.
hope you're in the mood for retro graphics, RE isn't a patch on RE:Make for gamecube, visually.
it's also worth pointing out that Resident Evil Code Veronica also fits into the storyline (not sure if this has a PC version), as does Resident Evil 0 (gamecube only).
All other games (Outbreak, Survivor) fall outside the main canon storyline

I haven't played Code Veronica or Resi 0, will look them up to get the story line - do they play a vital part in Resi 4?
nah. RE2 is the only one that plays a major part in 4's storyline - since they star a few of the same characters.Originally Posted by XA04

OK, good good. Either way, I'll look up a bit on the story line and shall make my way through Resi 1, 2 and 3 before the release
I loved the Resi games on the playstation. The minigun was so fun once you'd got it.
