hmm just got an e-mail from amazon trying to persuade me to buy it, i read a preview (i think) ages and ages ago in a pc gamer, looked good then, but i'm not an avid star wars fan, heck i havent seen any of the movies.. and besides i have worms3D and maxpayne2 to complete first...

I have a couple of friends whose lives consist of this game. Never seen it, but at the cost, and owing to the amount of time you need to spend playing it to advance, I don't think it's worth it.

It's been out for months over here and still no Jedi. It takes some severe time and work, believe me.

So if you're thinking you'll just get on and go Jedi, think again.

Now what I'd love to see is a Star Wars RTS!

I have a friend that has been playing this on US servers for 3 or so months now.

One thing that seems unfair is the Jedi activation...
Apparently you need to open a force slot, rumour has it these open after mastering several skills and various other things (no ones done it yet).

But from what he has read after X amount of Jedi slots have opened on the server then that is it, no more Jedi. Bit of a shame for anyone joining at a later date or playing it a bit slower. Hope this turns out to be wrong.

first month free, then £10 a month - which im told is good for how good this game is. Also ive been told the first ever jedi has been made last night! - (im not sure about the first ever but)....it sounds pretty cool, ill b getting it as soon as it comes into stock again

edit: yes ive just checked the website and it seems "its happened:the first ever jedi" - what a lucky bugger

I know what you mean. Would be much better just to pay a higher price in the shops rather than keep getting money taken. Subscription makes one feel like that have to play the game since they are paying for it. I think when you buy the game you get 60 days subscription free....not completly sure though. I might buy game then get subscription for crimbo , not too sure tho

Or they could just give away the game for cost price and charge a little more for the server access. That way it wouldnt matter about piracy and theyd still get the money cause they only way people are gonna play is if they log on.

What exactly do you DO in an it though? Just bugger about?

Rory - yea u get 1 month free when u start then its about £10 a month after...

Bindibadgi - there is just so much stuff to do in this game. You can start a buisiness, be a bartender, a musician, a servant, a smuggler, a bounty hunter, this list goes on.
Another thing you can do is missions - not sure exactly what these are but there are loads. things like deliverys, go and kill someone for a bounty, protection of an important person like a queen.
now apart from all this brilliance there is another reason why im getting this game.....
next year they are releasing an expansion pack, it is called "space"

basically u can buy ships,starfighters, join the rebellion get in an X-wing fight space battles, fight with the imperials in a Tie fighter, buy your own frigates, buy a ship for smuggling, fly to different planets yourself.
Me and a mate of mine have a plan (were not sure if its possible yet but it would be cool) - hes gonna make a smuggling buisiness (i was thinking along the lines of a large ship as the base of operations) and i would be the transporter with my smaller ship, flying around to the "increased amount of planets that will be included in this expansion" - making money....

Ah, but how does it work? You go offline and you die, or you go to sleep or your business closes? If its the middle of the night do you get woken up to do your "protection" business?

you go offline but u dont die. ure just not there. then you come back when you come "online" again. as for dying you have clone points (which are basically save points) and when you die you are cloned and you continue from your last clone point (this costs money btw). yes your buisiness closes when you go offline or (im not sure about this)but you could hire someone to look after it when u go offline....staff etc. - that leads into the bartender kinda stuff. you can go and get a job at a buisiness somewhere.

and what do you mean by "protection buisiness"?? - i think what you may b refering to is the mission for protecting someone. well i think your not really going to start a mission and then go offline straight away...are you? and if you do then i suppose the mission ends.

i hope that explains it for you if u have any more quesions (which im sure you do ) please ask.

also what do you think of the expansion pack stuff........?


edit: i almost forgot - PADAWANS!!!!! have you read the thread m8!!!! the first ever person to become a jedi was last night!!!!!!!! and i am sure (also says on the website) that becoming a jedi is very,very,very,very hard! so yea you could go off and try and become a padawan/jedi but UNLESS your commited and very good then ure not gonna be a jedi
