Removing Card Details from Xbox Live

Does anyone know if there is anyway to completely remove the card details from a users profile.

Say for example I allowed a friend to use my credit / debit card can they be removed?

Only reason I ask is that I have purchased some market place points and it wont allow me to amend any card details on my console therefore if I allowed someone else to use my card would they be able to buy points when ever they like, surely this cant be right

Surely it would be better if MS asked for the CVV number on the card each transaction I guess

Dont really wanna cancel the card as I use it to pay other things like internet access etc etc.

Contacted MS and was advised that couldnt remove the details however they recommended to disable the auto sign in function.... surely there must be another way round this as what would happen if you live in shared accomodation and someone used the card without authorisation

well yea I could do that but I thought for CNP (cardholder not present transactions) you werent allowed to keep information such as the CVV number on record.

As M$ is clearly keeping all the card details on file surely there must be a way round this..

Ah well just thinkin out loud really, just seems a really bad idea to keep all the card details locked into a user profile,

For that reason I cancelled my card so MS can't use or have my real details,

    ... is the best solution

You're actually never allowed to store the CVV number at all, it's supposed to be used immediately for validation, then disposed, but quite a few companies do appear to bend the rules..

    Hmm i know,

I called MS last night to see what there reasoning behind this were. They basically said that the password system allows them to store all the card details.

Ah well time to get a new card by the look of it
