    play.com PS2 USB thingy

    got one of these a while ago to play Pro Evo 5 on my pc, but when i plug it in, it just says, usb device not recognised. although the PS2 analouge button will come on, i cant change the settings in pro evo to the pad eitther, am i missiing something :| did i come with a driver cd cos i havent got 1?

    Yeah, it should have come with a driver cd. Windows should intially pick it up as a hid compliant game controller, the driver disk installs all the ps2 pad images and customises the interface to recognise the various ps pads you can hook up to it. Not sure about a download as I am at work and just about anything gaming related is websensed. I will have a look when I get home and I can either post a link if I find one or send you the installer if its not too big.

    would be much appreciated if you could host this for me, ive searched for a download and couldnt find one, and god knows where my disk went

    Try blowing it, to make sure there is no dust in the connectors (suprising that it can actually stop it from working ).

    If that doesn't work, - Did you just install over the old drivers with the above ones (the one linked to by vrykyl)?, if you did - make sure you remove the all the drivers tottally, then install fresh again. You may also have to reboot.

    If you didn't get a driver CD and you're sure it should've come with one try contacting Play customer support to confirm this.

    i did get one, but bought it over a year ago

    Russ, you still need the drivers? just got mine today, setup directorys only 1.2ish meg so i could email to ya if you want?
