    Question Red Orchestra....

Sorry if i'm being dense, but.. it's just popped up on Steam, and looks a mite interesting.. just wondering if it's a single player thing or purely multiplayer like DoD.. anybody? never seen it before although I believe it's a UT mod.... clueless I am...

Yo, managed to miss this one.

Single player is limited to bots, but theres a couple of difficulty settings. I played this when it was an UT2K4 mod, have just purchased it as a stand alone game through steam (its built using the UT engine). Its a very good game, much more like Americas army than CS or DoD-S, can be slow paced at times, but with building storming bits as well. Love the vehicles IS2 is great. Mention was made on the RO forums of a demo. There are currently issues if you have zonealarm, or use AOL. I had a problem but fixed it after a tip on the support forums. Overall a great game, although can be frustrating when you start.

Its not for everybody, that's for sure. Like Flibb said its slower paced than most other FPS. It doesn't use cross-hairs, iron-sights only, the battles can be very very intense and with quite outstanding sound FXs its very immersive. The vehicles have been done very well too. A big improvment from the Ut2004 mod. I personally love it

Id give it a go if you fancy something a bit different
