So wait - this lets me use a GameCube pad, on my PC, ia the USB port, yes?

That's tops. I was using a Cube for ages, and looking for a Cube-like controller, but all I could get were dodgy Saitek models.

I'll be having one of those.

I prefer the PS2 pad, due to the dual analogue and plenty of buttons, however I owned a cube for a short while and the pads arent that bad, good find

it just gets detected as a 6-axis joystick with a POV hat (2 sticks, 2 analog triggers, D-pad)

and install the drivers you get DirectX Force Feedback support for games that support it \o/

I'll be needlessly akward, and get a platinum colored pad from an import place, as they don't flog them in this country, and they look the balls.

Unofficial pads are available from £7.99...

The Gamecube pads are in my opinion the best console pads around at the mo.

Well, for any1 wanting this to play NFS with... NFS will not work with it correctly

if you hold down accelerate for too long it gets stuck, but ive checked the pad in windows and it works perfectly I suspect that the game just does not support analogue controls....

sigh... thats really ruined NFS for me...

    drivers mailed.

they might fix whatever issues you've had, for one thing you can shift the pad into Digital Mode by holding start for 3 seconds (which makes the stick behave digitally, the C-stick behave like buttons, and disables the analog part to the triggers)
