Okay...

who in their past gaming experiences had 1 of these joysticks

More importantly - Did any of you lot break one playing Track & field like I did with a few of these.

Although I swore by the sticks that came with the Atari 2600..

Not bad, I preffered the Quick Shot 2 - but the originals of these where very hard wearing

I will be tempted by one of those though

not that exact model, I don't believe mine had the two triangular buttons. I lost count of the number i broke, they are all stashed under my bed

Only way to play "Daley Thompson's Decathalon" - or other similar ones was on a keyboard

But these where the best joysticks to use for certain!

I remember those! Great hooked up to an Amiga for Sensible Soccer.

The last digital stick I had was a development of that, a black and yellow Zipstick.

Oh yes! I had one of those. Totally robust, could take any bashing thrown at it, and lasted me up until I got rid of my Amiga. It might have carried on for a few more years for all I know!

I used to decimate Cheetah Mach 1s (I think thats the name of them) with the old speccy hyper sports.

Cheetah Mach one was a pretty decent Joystick.. think I had the 125 model.

Atari 2600 kicked arse.

It wasn't about Antianalysing, FSAA, Vertex shaders, Pixel shaders and HDR - it was about gameplayability back in those days.
