What is OGame about? ~An Explanation~

Found out about this last weekish and im hooked...www.ogame.org

It is basically a browser based game (i.e play ANYWHERE & on ANY PC) that you can play for 5mins to hours depending on what you are doing. Nice if you want to spend a few mins of your lunch break or have an hour to kill.

I'm now playing as:

Uni: Universe3
Planet: Arda (3:449:6)

What is OGame about?
As an intergalactic emperor you can strengthen your influence throughout the galaxies by numerous strategies. Beginning your rulership at your homeworld you begin to build an economic and military infrastructure with your resources. Researching new techniques and upgrading your buildings and researches gives you access to superior technologies and improved weapon systems. During the game you have the option to colonize planets and to create alliances together with friendly emperors. Trading with other players and fighting against enemy empires helps you to get the resources you need to prosper even more quickly

Tips for Getting Started with OGame:
* Build Metal mines and Solar Plants first.
* Keep alternating between the Metal mines and the Solar Plants until you are about level 3 in each.
* Toss in the occasional Crystal Mine, and maybe a Deuterium mine.
* Build mines and plants until you can build a Colony Ship.
* Colonize another planet. Keep this planet regardless of how many slots it has. Slots are how many buildings a planet can contain.
* After you colonize your first planet, build resources and colonize another (remember to build on the new planet as well as the old one).
* Colonize a third, and build resources on it.
* Start researching other technologies, and improving your structures.
* Eventually you will need to destroy any planets with less than 250 slots. Start with the smallest and colonize again. This time, keep trying until you get a planet over 250. Build that up (same as before) and then destroy and colonize another.
* Rinse, Repeat and Take over the Universe!

yup really looks like another planetarion clone

Might give it a try though since planetarion is a bit crap now, it takes too much time to play it properly(need to be on irc at certain times EVERY day etc), was much more fun in the days of Fury, ViRus etc
