    Does...

    Does vibration function work on XP?

    Now-i've read that it doesnt because XP cannot handle it-this is true

    Look...what you do in the privacy of your own home is your business, so long as you don't do it in the street and frighten the horses...but..."vibration function"?

    Oh...hang on a sec...are you talking about vibration via force feedback controllers? I think it's driver-dependent, and therefore manufacturer specific.

    Unlikily it would not work, most manufacturers would include drivers for windows seeing as how there are loads of windows computers out there. It makes bad business sence to not make it work on windows as you would miss out on sales because of it.

    Just google search for the drivers for your "vibration device" and I am sure you will find them. Or post the specific item if there is one and I will check for you.

    works on my gamecube pad via a usb adapter - depends entirely on drivers & apps

    DirectX has very good API support for vibration. Theres even an API for playing music via vibration devices (designed for PDA/Phones.....)

    Yeah joystick vibration on pads works well depending on the manufacturers driver support - one gamepad I have has poor support so it hardly vibrates to anything - and when it does its terribly weak

    Now then back to the topic [or are we gonna be teens about this ]

    My controller is a Logic 3 12 Button Vibration pad - im wondering whetehr it does work or not cos im fedup of seeign Vibration option in games turned to off
