    Saitek Cyborg EVO

I'm on the brink of buying a Saitek Cyborg EVO joystick, but not sure whether to spend the extra tenner and get the wireless one. Wireless would definenately be an advantage to me as my desk is quite cluttered and I could move this freely as and when I'd need to.

So I was just wondering if anyone has the wireless version and can tell me if it's anygood compared to the wired one. Is there lag between pressing buttons and it actually happening on screen? Any useful inforamation on this would be much appreciated.

Similar to wireless keyboard/mouse, there is no lag at all. The only thing is, since the receiver is so small, if you plug it into the rear of your case the reception will be poor. If you got front usb or monitor usb that shouldn't be a problem. In the worse case you only need to use a usb extension cable to wire it into open space

I had a cyborg wireless for a while, was a really nice joystick and the dongle lives underneath the joystick which is handy.

wish I was here when you posted that

    I had one..it was horrible

They have a habit of losing cobnnectivity (so save battery life) so you must keep wiggling it of it will disconnect. Now for the average user that might be ok, but when you're sitting waiting for an online war to start, it's baaaaaad news.

Most of the time it reactivates and finds it's signal again, but not always. Then you have to leave the game, disconnect the USB dongle, or take the battery out of the stick

It's a shame, but I also have to say that it can only dealwith a certain amount of data at once....so using all the functions of the stick and whacking buttond and using the hatswitch, simply confuses it.

And then you end up upside down

I hated mine Went back to the wired one which is heaven.

I PRAY you're ok man...but remember the "taking the battery out" trick. You will need it!
