well, monkey island and broken sword are abit tough for a young nipper (and me at some points). and there the only two i know
12 years ago, I would've recommended Sam and Max: Hit the Road. Too bad the sequel was never released.
Theres a sabrina the teenage witch one, my sister used to have it.

The Bone series is quite good, and suitable for young and old alike.

Myth or Siberia ? Well to be honest even I cant play those two, but they are among the best point and click
